This website is documenting my new O scale model railroad. The Great Northern and Northern Pacific Railroads are the focal point of this effort.
I have been a model railroader for as long as I can remember. As I child I recall my dad's HO layout, then a few Lionel layouts for me. Those were torn down and an Sn3, On3 and then back to Sn3 layout in the basement all the time! Today my father models in Sn3.
All his closest friends were model railroaders as well. So I had the luxury of being around model railroaders all my life. Seeing model railroads of different scales and learning building techniques from all these people. If Iam a good model railraoder today, it is due to all these people. Ed Luczak, Gary Engle and Christ Christoff. All these guys taught me a lot not only about model railroading but about life as well.
The GNP RR is starting out as a 6' x 22' engine terminal. I am going to utilize the Mianne benchwork system. I figured it was a great time to try something new. GN and NP steam era is what I really enjoy modeling. However there are always a "visiting" road you will see pop up now and then. From a Pennsy K4 all the way to modern diesels may show up on the road. So keep a sharp eye out for those "visitors"
